Jeanne de Matel Laureate Diploma
In order to be considered for this diploma, which recognizes the student who is capable of college-level work while still in high school, students meeting the requirements of the Advanced Diploma must also complete the following requirements:

  • complete at least four additional advanced-level courses
  • meet or exceed the service requirements of religious studies for all grading periods at IWA.
  • have an exemplary conduct record
  • and qualify for a total of at least three measures in the following two categories

Qualifying measures for the Jeanne de Matel Laureate Diploma [Students need not qualify in both categories.]

  1. Recognition as a Commended Scholar, Semifinalist, or Finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation; and/or
  2. Attainment of at least three scores of 3 or above (two if qualified under #1 above) on College Board Advanced Placement Examinations.

Students should apply to be designated as " Jeanne de Matel Diploma Candidates " in the fall of their senior year.

Summer School and Correspondence Courses
Summer school and/or Correspondence courses must have written PRIOR approval from the principal to count towards graduation.

For the Texas Scholar Recognition Program, students must complete the Recommended Diploma plan and the following:

  • both World Geography and World or European History
  • three or more years of the same language other than English
  • no semester average below 77
