Sports News CROSSCOUNTRY C The Angels boys cross country team won the TAPPS 5A state meet in Waco by tallying 96 points to edge District 3-5A rival St. Anthony’s (106 points) to win the title. IWA placed third in the district this season before pulling off the bigger feat. “I’m extremely excited for these kids – especially since we have such a young team this year with only one senior (Sebastian),” said IWA coach Luke Aguilar. “Hopefully this will help get the IWA cross country team back to the tradition it had under (former) coach Casper Wenzel.”
