Items Needed for Share Your Christmas Food Drive Students are going to fill a school bus with nonperishable food items for KIII-TV’s "Share Your Christmas" Food Drive. At the elementary level, collection boxes have been placed in each classroom. Middle and high school levels will have collection boxes at the front office. The campus will collect items through December 3, 2015 to benefit the Food Bank of Corpus Christi. |

Angels to Perform in "The Nutcracker" A total of 17 students from Incarnate Word Academy are showcasing their gifts and talents to our local community. They will be performing in the Corpus Christi Concert Ballet’s annual production of “The Nutcracker.” The dancers ranging from kindergarten to high school will perform as Clara, angels, mice, soldiers, and more. There will be two public performances at the Selena Auditorium. One Act Team Performs 'The Curious Savage' The high school level theatre arts department performed their One Act Play titled “The Curious Savage” on November 12, 2015 in the Mother Patricia Gunning Gymnasium. The play was about a woman named Mrs. Savage who inherits her late husband’s $10 million estate. She planned to make the best use of it by setting up a memorial fund that gives money to others. Angels Honor Veterans with Mass and Activities In observance of Veterans Day, the middle level honored military veterans with a Mass on November 11, 2015 in the school’s James R. Dougherty, Jr. Center. After Mass, the boy scouts from the middle level lined the front of the school with American flags. At the elementary level, students in Mrs. Kelly Ward’s third grade classroom learned about the different branches of the military. In addition, high school level students wrote the names on yellow ribbons of friends and family members who have or are currently serving in the military. High School Golf Season is in Full Swing The high school level boys’ and girls’ golf season is in full swing. At the Tuloso-Midway Tournament, both teams did well. Billy Teichman earned first place for the boys’ team with a 73 and Hicks Layton tied for fifth with a student from Calallen with an 81. School Donates Books to Driscoll Children's Hospital Several students, parents, faculty, and staff made monetary donations during the middle and high school level’s fall book fair for the All For Books campaign.
