Middle Level Assistant Principal Marci Levings revealed the paintings which were created by some of the Houston Zoo's primates. In addition to the reveals, students who donated more than 10 devices for the challenge received a free T-shirt designed by Mrs. Levings and seventh grader Catherine Cutbirth. The Action for Apes challenge is an annual contest hosted by the Houston Zoo. The students collected used cell phones to help the Houston Zoo protect animals like chimpanzees and gorillas.
