A FUN RUN FOR ALL FAMILIES
All students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to participate in our 11th Annual Angel Mile on August 11th.
This exciting event will be held at the IWA Training Site which is located at Our Lady of Corpus Christi, 1200 Lantana St., Corpus Christi, TX 78407. Events will begin at 6:30 p.m.

STUDENT ATHLETES BEGIN
YEAR WITH PRAYER
Student athletes are invited to kick off the school year in prayer during the Athletic Prayer Breakfast on August 12th starting at 7:30 a.m. in the James R. Dougherty, Jr. Center.
Following breakfast, Middle and High School Level students will receive their annual physicals in the Mother Patricia Gunning Gymnasium at 9:30 a.m.

FIRST PARENT EVENT OF THE YEAR!
The PTO and Campus-Wide Booster Club would like to welcome you to our first parent event of the year!
Make new friends as you meet other parents as well as faculty, staff, and coaches during the Back-To-School Parent Social from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16th in the Angel Avenue Student Center.

TAKE A GUIDED TOUR OF YOUR STUDENT'S CLASSROOMS
Parents are invited to attend their respective school's PTO meetings. After each meeting, there will be a Back-to-School Night at the Elementary Level and Follow-the-Schedule Nights at the Middle and High School Levels. Parents will be able to tour classrooms.

TOP CHOICE CATERING PROVIDES LUNCH OPTIONS FOR ANGELS
Incarnate Word Academy has partnered with Top Choice Catering to provide students with a hot lunch beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.
Top Choice Catering uses an online payment system with My School Account. This payment system allows parents to monitor lunchtime purchases, track what children have been eating for the past 30 days, make deposits directly into meal accounts, and more.
To take advantage of this service, families must create a NEW parent account under Top Choice Catering.

STUDENTS GET HYPED DURING MIDDLE LEVEL SOCIAL
Middle Level students got back into the school spirit during a back-to-school student social on August 7th in the James R. Dougherty, Jr. Center. Students played board games, danced with friends, and set the attitude for what will be an exciting 2017-2018 school year.

ANGELS RETURN TO CAMPUS DURING FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Students made new friends, met faculty and staff, enjoyed campus tours, and made memories to last a lifetime on the first day of school on August 7th.

FAMILIES REGISTER FOR SCHOOL YEAR AT ANGEL CHECK-IN
Our campus was filled with so many smiling faces, new and returning, during this year's Angel Check-In on August 4th! Faculty and staff welcomed families as they completed their registration process, picked up their books and uniforms, and met with teachers at each school level.

IN-SERVICES PREPARE FACULTY AND STAFF FOR SCHOOL YEAR
With a week full of learning, reflection, and prayer, our faculty and staff returned to campus on July 31st to begin their in-service week. Having participated in several training sessions as well as prepping their classrooms, our teachers were anxious for students to arrive on the first day of school.

CMSE CLASSES SCHEDULED FOR THE 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR
Parents who are interested in volunteering with campus activities, clubs, or organizations, must submit an IWA Volunteer Application. This application includes a Criminal Background Authorization form and a Criminal Background Check Validation form.
In addition, volunteers are required to enroll in a CMSE (Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment) Diocesan Course.
The first class of the 2017-2018 school year will be on August 26th at 10:00 a.m. in Room 101 of the High School Level.

Many exciting events kept Angels busy during their summer break with a range of summer camps hosted on our campus. From math camps to basketball clinics with NBA Champion Danny Green, there was something for everyone at IWA.
