FIREFIGHTERS TEACH STUDENTS TO "LOOK, LISTEN, AND LEARN"

In celebration of National Fire Prevention Week, Elementary Level students welcomed members of the Naval Air Station (NAS) Corpus Christi Fire Department on Thursday, October 11th. First responders were on hand to provide little Angels with the knowledge of knowing when to "look, listen, and learn," so they may prevent causing a fire and know how to react in case a fire occurred near them. Firefighters showcased a few pieces of their fire retardant gear to students. Several classes entered a NASCCFD's trailer which safely augmented a simulated room on fire where students practiced how to perform a fire crawl.
