| All Saints' Day Mass Parents and students attended the All Saints’ Day Mass on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Mother Patricia Gunning Gymnasium with Main Celebrant Bishop Wm. The Cross-Country Angels won their 2nd consecutive TAPPS Class 4A State Cross-Country Championship on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Connally High School. The girls team finished in third place. This championship was IWA’s 22nd State Title in cross-country. In addition, junior Jared Coco was named Athlete of the Week by ESPN 1440 AM. | Red Ribbon Week The school kicked off Red Ribbon Week from October 28 through November 1, 2013 with class projects, lessons, prayers, and red ribbons to raise awareness on the problems of illegal drugs and drug abuse. Elementary level students participated in a pumpkin decorating contest, scavenger hunt, and more. Middle and high school level students created posters and dressed up for different themed days such as “We are Too Bright for Drugs” and “Team Up Against Drugs.” See Photos |
| | | Bullying Prevention Awareness Week IWA recognized Bullying Prevention Awareness Week from October 21-25, 2013. Students, faculty, and staff took an active role in the bullying prevention movement through classroom activities, prayer, posters, Unity Day, and more. | A Fantastic Time at Fall Fun Night
The IWA campus quickly filled with eager children ready to take part in the school's Fall Fun Night. The event was full of smiles as children played, jumped, danced, raced, climbed, and more. "The fundraiser was a huge success," Elementary Level Principal Rosario Davila said.
