IWA Swim & Dive Team Make a Big Splash at TAPPS

IWA Swimming & Diving Team Dives into State Competition
Out of 23 IWA swimmers competing in Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Regionals, thirteen have qualified for the TAPPS State Meet to be held February 4-6 at the Conroe Woodlands Natatorium in North Houston.

The team started with only five swimmers two years ago and has built up to 26 this year.  Diving was reestablished after a 25-year break.    Three years ago,  IWA finished in 24th place in State, last year the Angels were 8th for the girls and 6th for the boys with a combined placement of 10th in State.   Third-year Head Coach, Dan Shea and second-year assistant coach, Adam Scott set a four-year goal of finishing in the top two in Regionals and top four in the State.  Saturday's 4th place finish for both boys and girls in Regionals takes the team a little closer to these goals.
