IWA Middle Level recognizes the importance of student participation in extracurricular activities, which are an integral complement to the school’s academic curriculum. Participation in clubs, music programs, and/or athletics encourages achievement, team spirit, and service to the community while also promoting development of self-esteem, independence, and social cooperation. These social qualities are particularly important as children develop skills that allow them to easily transition from the middle level to the high school level.
During their time at the middle level, youth become more focused on specific interests. The IWA Middle Level extracurricular program offers opportunities for students to more fully explore their interests.
IWA Middle Level extracurricular activities include:
- Chess Club
- Entrepreneur Club
- Geography Club
- Horticulture Club
- JETS Club (Junior Engineering Technical Society)
- Junior Optimist Club
- Quilting Club
- Student Council
- Art Club
- National Junior Honor Society (Students must fulfill NJHS requirements for membership selection)
