MEXICO MISSION PROGRAM
In 2003, Incarnate Word Academy joined the mission program sponsored by St. Joseph Academy in Brownsville in order to provide a mission experience for interested students. Every year the goal of the program is to provide religious services and instruction for residents of remote towns near Tula, Tamaulipas during Holy Week. Student missionaries meet for an hour each week to prepare themselves through prayer, study, and faith sharing. They also participate in retreats and fund raising projects through out the year. While in Mexico the students are divided in teams and assigned to a specific town. They visit
homes to invite families to classes and religious services. The missionaries teach classes, interact with the people, play with the children and lead religious services. In addition to the services that they offer to the people of Tula , the student missionaries experience a profound personal transformation and a deep sense of fulfillment. When they return their witness has a deep impact on the student body. How can you help?
