IWA Middle Level Religion Cirriculum

instruction in doctrine, Scripture, and morality;

The textbook series, This Is Our Faith , published by Silver Burdett Ginn, invites students to participate in the journey of faith toward union with God in eternal life. Students are encouraged to appreciate that they are called to grow closer to God and Jesus while they are learning more about the beliefs and tradions of the faith. The journey theme helps focus the attention of the young people and illustrates the fact that the loving Jesus they meet in their studies is with them in all their life experiences. Textbooks, written in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church, focus on

Scripture in the sixth grade,
Jesus in the seventh grade, and
Church History in the eighth grade.

While content centers on one particular theme, strands on Church, Sacraments, Trinity, and Morality are interwoven throughout the series.
