Incarnate Word Academy students are encouraged to grow through a variety of extracurricular clubs and activities. Our Mission Team helps students lay the foundation of their faith, our coaches help students to grow in leadership and life skills, and our club sponsors encourage growth in creativity, imagination, and exploration.

Hello Angels,

My name is Lisa Matl and I am the School Nurse at Incarnate Word Academy.

This is my second year working as a School Nurse at IWA. Before that I worked as a nurse in home health.

I have 7 children (including 5 IWA graduates).

Reading, tennis, skiing, hiking and gardening

What I love about IWA:

What I love most about IWA is the strong sense of community we have here. IWA is like an extended family and Angels look out for other Angels. We have been here a long time and our family has made many life-long friends here.
