Hello Angels,

My name is Sr. Elizabeth Close and I teach Montessori Primary (MP1) at the Elementary Level. You may contact me at closee@iwacc.org if you have any questions.

Background:

Graduated from IWA in 1964
Graduated from University of Incarnate Word 1969 - Bachelor of Arts Degree with a specialization in Special Education
Montessori Training Certificate from Houston Montessori Society
I have taught 24 years in Traditional Education and 20 years in Montessori Education.

I believe that learning begins in wonder and continues as an adventure throughout life. Each day is a new day to love my students, to see Jesus in each one to begin again. As a Montessori Teacher, I believe the child is its own teacher. I want to create an environment that will cultivate each child's own natural desire to learn.

I love that we are a loving faith community, a team that want the best for our students. We have wonderful supportive parents and great benefactors and friends. I love that our school name, "Incarnate Word" means Jesus--He is Our Teacher and guides us to serve and love each other.
