I was born and raised in Panamá, but I’ve now lived in Texas for 32 years. After more than fifteen years working in public libraries, I came to IWA in 2014. I have the privilege to work with wonderful students and teachers at this school. As a school library and media specialist I am fortunate to indulge my interest in a wide range of topics ranging from art to biotechnology. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your learning journey.
While we are engaged in distance learning, I will miss the opportunity to see you each day and interact directly. However, I am still eager to provide assistance in any way I can. This sign on my desk at school still applies:
Please remember that while you are working from home, you still have the resources of AngelEbrary and your public libraries available to you. Feel free to reach out if you need assistance or support in using these resources. I would also love to hear about what you're reading and help suggest other books you might enjoy. I can be reached at hilzingerl@iwacc.org.
