Sr. Agueda Oviedo

Hello Angels,

My name is Sister Agueda Oviedo and I teach Religious Studies for Grade 8 at the Middle Level. 

I am a consecrated religious, a Sister of Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament. 

I hold a MA in Theology and Educational Ministry and am currently working to complete a BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry.

I decided to become a teacher because I love my faith, Catholicism, and I love Christ the teacher.

At the beginning and at the end Jesus is the teacher, the Holy Spirit is my guide. I am simply at the service of all those young people I have been entrusted to spend and share the faith, build relationships with, and share my life, my faith and my friendship with Jesus and with them. At the beginning of the day and at the end of the day I relate with my students with a smile, I strive to reflect Jesus to my students, to see Jesus in them, this is our charism.

Fun Facts:

I completed 2 NYC marathons. I lived in Ithaca NY for over 15 years. I used to play intramural rugby. I've travelled to many countries prior to religious life.

Hobbies and Talents:

I love to watch movies. I play the trombone, I enjoy reading, I like to watch college ice hockey, I like to play card games or games in general, I like to fish, I love watching the stars, sunsets, the moon.

I love the people, It's community, family oriented.
