Educational Background:
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4; Masters in Counseling; Ph.D in Counselor Education
Teaching Background:
I’ve worked in education, elementary to graduate (masters level) students, since 2008 as a teacher, academic advisor, counselor, and supervisor.
Classroom Philosophy:
I have a student centered approach to working with children individually and in groups. I strive to meet children where they are and help guide them to their potential. As an art teacher I hope to help children tap into their creative selves, foster a safe environment for self expression, build confidence, and have an understanding of the larger art world.
Fun Facts:
I was born and raised in Louisiana, our family has a bearded dragon, and I’ve traveled to 22 states and 12 countries (including the ones I’ve lived in).

Traveling, painting, photography, and gardening
What I love about IWA:
I love the community and sense of family.
