Jamie Aleman
Hello! I am Coach Aleman and I teach English I, English I Pre AP, and English II Pre AP at IWA High School. This is my 13th year in education and second year as a full time teacher at Incarnate Word. I have a B.S. in Exercise Science from Texas State University, a MEd in Sports Management from Liberty University and I am currently a PhD student finishing up a degree in Educational Administration.
After earning my undergraduate degree I was a teacher and a coach in the Central Texas area for six years. I have coached at the elementary, middle school, and varsity levels. I have coached football, basketball, track, soccer, softball, powerlifting, and wrestling.
Throughout my time as an educator and coach I have always cherished and valued the relationships we build with our families at IWA and I look forward to continuing our strong tradition of academics.
Welcome to the Angel Family!
Coach Aleman
I love to integrate different learning strategies within my classroom. I love to use technology as much as I can and will integrate real world applications into our lessons as much as possible.
I devote a big portion of our learning into how to become strong writers, as this is a skill that students must learn to master as they grow at IWA.
I also use project based learning to get kids actively involved in lessons and to really start to understand topics on a deeper level.
