Step 1: Distance Learning
Distance Learning (DL) will be available all year for students who have to quarantine at home
and for students whose families prefer it even when school is in session on campus. Despite safety
measures, some families may not feel comfortable sending their children back to the IWA campus
when school opens in August and they will have the option to choose distance learning.
Students who choose distance learning can only change between DL and on-campus learning
once per quarter. Quarantined students participating in DL, can change to on-campus learning as
soon as they are medically cleared to return to campus.
The tuition rate does not change for distance learning. Whether through on-campus instruction or distance learning, the IWA Faculty remains fully committed to providing an excellent academic experience that prepares students for their future coursework and college. We are equally committed to focusing on the whole child so they continue to develop spiritually and emotionally during times when we cannot gather in person on campus. To sustain IWA’s quality education, we must continue to support our teachers and invest in innovative ways to deliver our curriculum to our students.
IWA will begin the school year with Distance Learning through the Labor Day weekend and plans to begin on-campus instruction on September 8. If you know you want to stay on the Distance Learning Plan once on-campus instruction begins, please fill out the form below.
Step 2: Health and Wellness Pledge
All families must commit to supporting IWA's health, wellness, and safety protocols as outlined in the Incarnate Word Academy Reopening Plan. Please complete the form below to confirm that you will keep your child home when he/she is not feeling well, has COVID-19-like symptoms, or has potentially been exposed to COVID-19.

Step 4: Medical Information
For students who will require the administration of medication at school, an “In-School Medication Administration” form must be signed every year by both the parent/guardian AND the student’s physician. Additionally, all inhalers require a physician-signed “Asthma Action Plan” and Epi-pens require a physician-signed “Life Threatening Allergy Action Plan.”

- Mail the completed forms to your school level office or email completed forms to nurse@iwacc.org

Step 7: Birth Certificate
Step 8: Cafeteria
Incarnate Word Academy has partnered with Top Choice Catering to provide students with lunches for the upcoming school year.
My School Account
Top Choice Catering uses an online payment system with My School Account. This payment system allows parents to monitor lunchtime purchases, track what children have been eating for the past 30 days, make deposits directly into meal accounts, transfer funds between students, and create an email reminder for when an account balance gets low.
Student debit account deposits can be made through ACH payments or by credit card. IWA absorbs the cost of the ACH and credit card bank fees. Each child’s account will be updated nightly so that account balance information and payments will be current as of the following day. There will be a $2 convenience fee associated with a transaction for each family deposit.
Mobile App
My School Account also has a mobile app that allows parents to deposit funds, check balances, view lunch activity and more! Download the app to your phone from iTunes or the Google Play Store.
2020-2021 Options and Pricing
To comply with the current guidelines surrounding school meal services, only one boxed lunch option will be available daily (no á la carte or salad bar).
The boxed lunch option at the Elementary Level will be $3.75 (child size) or $4.50 (junior size) and will include milk.
