Tuition & Enrollment Information

The annual enrollment fee of $695 per student helps offset essential administrative and operational costs that keep our school running smoothly. These costs include plant and facility maintenance, the student information system, technology, textbooks, and student transportation. This fee is non-refundable and is collected each fiscal year to ensure we can continue to provide the highest-quality education and services for your children.

The enrollment fee can be paid in two or three consecutive monthly installments. Please contact the Business Office at (361) 883-0857, ext. 117 to set up your payment plan. 

• New Student Inquiries: All Year
• January 6, 2025 to January 19, 2025: Re-enrollment opens for returning students only
• January 20, 2025: Enrollment opens for new students and continues for returning students
• February 28, 2025: Enrollment fee (for returning students) increases to $795
• March 30, 2025: Enrollment fee (for returning students) increases to $845
• April 30, 2025: Enrollment fee (for returning students) increases to $895

The Activity fee helps cover costs associated with student programs including academic events, awards and celebrations, field trips, yearbook, clubs and organizations, grade level retreats, and religious activities. (Does NOT include optional 8th Grade overnight camping trip).

This fee is due in full by Angel Check-In or may be paid monthly over the first two months of school (August and September).

The athletics fee only applies to students participating in one of IWA's 14 athletics programs.

Athletic fees offset approximately 50% of athletic operational costs each fiscal year that include equipment, uniforms, travel, entry fees, and officials.

At IWA, we are committed to making education accessible through need-based tuition assistance. For qualifying families, the awarded grant is applied to the annual tuition at the start of the school year or when the completed application is received and processed. The remaining tuition balance (the family's financial responsibility) will be divided according to the family's selected tuition payment plan and must remain current to avoid forfeiture of the tuition assistance grant . Please note that applicants are encouraged to complete and submit applications as early as possible to ensure fund availability. Need-based tuition assistance grants are not applied retroactively. 

Thanks to the generous support of individuals and foundations, IWA is blessed to provide substantial need-based tuition assistance each year, helping to make an IWA education possible for approximately one third of the student body.

Tuition Assistance Application Process

Step 1: Gather necessary documents including current year's tax return and copies of W2's.

• Tax return and W-2's from previous year will be accepted if current return is not completed

Step 2: File for assistance online with FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment.

• A nonrefundable fee of $40 will be required for processing.
• Tuition assistance is awarded based on eligibility and fund availability.

Applications for tuition assistance for the 2025-2026 school year may be submitted after January 31, 2025.

Families will be notified by mail within 15 days receipt of a completed application and student acceptance to IWA. Enrollment must be completed to accept a tuition assistance offer. Offers not accepted within 10 days of notification are subject to reapplication and possible reduction or forfeiture of tuition assistance. 

Please note that only completed applications with the required supporting information will be considered by the Tuition Assistance Review Committee. It is essential that parents/guardians provide accurate and complete information. Only applications submitted with all questions completed and documents provided will be considered.

There are no guarantees that tuition assistance will be awarded and it is based on need and availability.  Tuition assistance only applies to future tuition obligations and will not be awarded retroactively so will not apply to tuition charges already incurred.

New Families

Applications for tuition assistance may be submitted after the prospective student has completed their online enrollment to their school level.

Returning Families Must Reapply Annually

The FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment information must be completed and submitted before an offer of tuition assistance can be made. Please keep in mind that your student billing account must be current at the end of the 2024-2025 school year to be considered for tuition assistance. If a returning recipient’s account is not current by the beginning of the upcoming school year, tuition assistance will be withdrawn.

Because of limited space, parents are encouraged to enroll as early as possible. If the tuition assistance awarded is not an amount that makes it possible to attend IWA, the enrollment fee will be refunded (less a $50 processing fee).

If two or more students from an immediate family are enrolled, the family will be eligible for a family rate discount on the annual tuition. The full tuition applies to the first student, but each additional student receives a $250 annual tuition reduction.

Incarnate Word Academy is proud to offer a 25% tuition discount per student for active-duty military and first responder (police officer, paramedic, firefighter) families. This discount cannot be combined with need-based tuition assistance grants.

Military/First Responder Discount Form

Families may receive a Parish/Church Tuition Credit of up to $100 per student if the family is an active, registered, contributing member of their parish/church. The family may submit the Parish/Church Tuition Credit Form which must be completed and signed by the parish pastor. The amount awarded by the parish will be applied as a tuition credit when payment is received from the parish/church. The Parish/Church Tuition Credit is not applicable to Elementary Level - Traditional or Montessori students.

Diocesan Employee DIscount Form

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 contains a provision that allows the use of Section 529 savings to pay for private K-12 education up to $10,000 per year, per child starting in 2018.
