Athletics
Athletics is an integral part of the Angel experience. Students at Incarnate Word Academy are able to join athletic teams beginning at the Elementary Level, where they will learn the values of teamwork, commitment, and accountability.
Incarnate Word Academy is a member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), and our athletics program is structured to allow athletes of various abilities to compete at different levels. We field a variety of varsity and sub-varsity sports teams, and athletes are encouraged to participate in multiples sports throughout the school year.
Our teams are coached by dedicated coaches who are experts in their sport and in working with student-athletes. Our coaches are committed to using their own faith to help develop athletes of strong faith and moral character.
Athletic facilities include an outdoor track and soccer field, newly renovated batting cages, a newly renovated strength and conditioning center, two gymnasiums, a cardiovascular room, and an outdoor pavilion that houses two basketball/volleyball courts.
