Class of 2022 senior Viraj Bhakta organized this basketball tournament to fundraise for the Mother Teresa Shelter. Students were encouraged to accomplish this service by utilizing their interests, passions, and talents. Viraj chose to work with the Principle of Option for the Poor and Vulnerable and combine this with his love of basketball.
Incarnate Word Academy announced the winners of the 150th Anniversary Contest on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 in the High School Level Library. Out of nearly the entire student body, twelve winners were selected and will be awarded $150 each to be donated and presented to a local non-profit of their choice.
When asked why students in House Altruismo at the Middle Level decided to host a car wash for teachers, sixth grader Matthew Bagala said, "We are washing cars because we want to do something kind in return for how hard our teachers and staff work to make learning meaningful and fun.
IWA student Jackson Ramus, the founder of Angels Defeating Mental Illness (ADMI), and Mrs. Cartwright, partnered with the Gulf Coast Humane Society to host therapy dog sessions to promote student well-being and decrease student anxiety during this semester’s final exams.

Incarnate Word Academy was host to the “In Search of Earth’s Secrets” exhibit taking our students on a journey through the mystery, history, and future of Earth.
Incarnate Word Academy Middle Level students participated in the Hardest Math Problem contest sponsored by Scholastic. Fifty-five of our outstanding students advanced to the second and final rounds of the competition, with one 6th grader advancing in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade categories of the contest.
