This summer, Incarnate Word Academy students and alumni spent time developing their leadership skills at the HOBY Youth Leadership Seminars, a nationally recognized program dedicated to inspiring and empowering young leaders to make a positive difference in their schools, communities, and beyond.

Throughout the seminar, participants engaged in leadership workshops, team-building activities, and meaningful discussions designed to help them discover their strengths, build confidence, and learn how to lead with purpose and integrity.

Representing IWA as HOBY Ambassadors were Matthew Bagala, Stella Guerra, Sela Perez, and Keaton Havelka. Returning to serve as HOBY Counselors were Jackie Jonckheere, Class of 2026, along with alumni Bella Perez '25 and Cole Schulz '25. As counselors, they had the opportunity to mentor participants, facilitate activities, and help create a memorable leadership experience for students from across the region.

We are incredibly proud of these Angels for embracing opportunities to grow as leaders and for representing Incarnate Word Academy with excellence, service, and compassion. We look forward to seeing how they continue to use the skills and experiences gained through HOBY to make a positive impact both on our campus and in the communities they serve.
