IWA student Nate Gonzalez recently took his passion for serving others all the way to Houston through Nate’s Next Kid Up, the organization he founded to support children in foster care.

As part of Nate’s Foster Road Trip Program™, the Houston Texans invited Nate and his organization to bring 26 children in foster care to experience a Texans game and create memories they can carry with them for years to come.

As the Founder & CEO of Nate’s Next Kid Up, Nate played an active role throughout the entire experience, helping prepare meals, snacks, shirts and special items for the children before traveling with the group to Houston. His goal was to make sure each child had the opportunity to feel included, valued and celebrated.

Nate continues to balance his education with his passion and responsibility for serving children in our community and across Texas.

We are incredibly proud of Nate for demonstrating leadership, compassion and a heart for service both inside and outside of the classroom. Keep Dreaming Big, Nate! ❤️
