Incarnate Word Academy freshman cheerleader Leighton Lawhon traveled to Disney World over Thanksgiving break to participate in the Varsity Spectacular Parade.

Leighton was accompanied by her parents, her brother Pierce, and IWA Cheer Coach, Elizabeth Vasquez, who were there to cheer her on at the event. Leighton also tried out for a front spot in the parade and won fourth row on team Mickey!

Leading up to the event, Leighton competed in the All American Competition at the UCA Cheer Camp over the summer, which she attended with the IWA Cheer Squad. Leighton was then invited to attend the Varsity Spectacular event at Disney World.
