Rockport Bus Service
Incarnate Word Academy offers bus services for students residing in the Rockport area. Students can be dropped off at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by 7:00 a.m. to take the bus to IWA. The bus will depart from IWA at 4:00 p.m. and arrive back at Sacred Heart Catholic Church around 4:40 p.m. for parent pick up.

Where do I pick up or drop off my child?
Pick up and drop off is at the parking lot of Sacred Heart Catholic Church - 704 E Cornwall St, Rockport, TX 78382
What time does the bus depart for school and arrive for drop-off?
The bus leaves the Sacred Heart parking lot at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Students are returned to the Sacred Heart parking lot at approximately 4:40 p.m. (after leaving IWA campus at 4 p.m.).
If my student signs up, are they required to take the bus every day for both pick-up and drop off?
Students can use the bus as needed and are not required to use the bus all year. Students who stay after school for extracurricular activities or sports will have to make their own arrangements as the bus will leave every day by 4:00 p.m. These students would be able to ride the bus one way in the morning and get a ride with their parents in the afternoon.
Do I need to inform the school if my child will not be riding in the morning?
No, the bus will promptly depart at 7:00 a.m. with those who have arrived. Parents who arrive after 7:00 a.m. will have to drive their student to school that day.
Do I need to notify the school if my child will be riding one way?
Yes, please inform the school if your child will only be riding to school but not returning on the bus to Rockport in the afternoon.
Who is eligible for the Rockport bus service?
All IWA students K3 through 12th grade can ride the Rockport bus. If a student is in K3 through K5, an older sibling must accompany the student. Seats are based on availability.
