Student, faculty, and staff safety is paramount in every decision we make as we continue to navigate the COVID 19 pandemic. Everyone’s continued commitment and partnership is needed to maintain on-campus learning and the safest possible school environment. Some important reminders from the IWA COVID ACTION PLAN include:

  • Keep students home who are experiencing any COVID possible symptoms (even if mild), including sore throat, cough, nasal congestion, and fever.
  • On campus testing is available for students who experience symptoms at school or need a clear test to return (contact the school nurse, 361-883-0857 ext. 178).
  • Isolation and quarantine can be reduced to five days (with return on day six) with a negative COVID test on or after day five (when free of symptoms and without fever reducing medication) and the use of a mask recommended for five days upon return.
  • It is important to notify the school nurse if your child, or anyone in the household test positive.
  • Masks are strongly encouraged indoors.
