Sister Camelia Herlihy, IWBS '54 retired as IWA Elementary Level Principal. 

Charles D. Imbergamo, President of Incarnate Word Academy expounds, "For fifty-four years, Sister Camelia Herlihy has served the Church and Catholic Education.  Twenty of those years in this ministry of education as Principal of Incarnate Word Academy Elementary Level."

"Now, at 75 years of age, I am ready to embrace the latter stages of my journey, so I am retiring as Principal of Incarnate Word Elementary Level at the close of this school year (2013).  I am also grateful for the opportunity I had to serve you the parents, students, teachers, teacher aides and staff of Incarnate Word Academy ELementary Level Traditional and Montessori for those twenty years.  Your excellence is what has made the school so extraordinary, and i know God will continue to bless you and the school in the future." - Sister Camelia Herlihy, IWBS '54

It goes without saying, that her service and faithful dedication to the very highest ideals of Catholic education leave so many of us in her debt, filled with a spirit of deep gratitude for her fidelity to the mission of the congregation, Church and school.
