2019-2020 International Student Tuition Information

Note: International Student Tuition Information pertains only to Incarnate Word Academy's High School Level (grades 9 to 12).

Step One: Complete and submit an Online Inquiry

Step Two: Complete and submit an Online Application

  • Pay the Online Application Fee of $25
  • Request a Skype Interview with the High School Principal and Assistant Principal:

Step Three: Once approved, an enrollment invitation will be emailed to the prospective student and the parent/guardian responsible for enrollment. At that time, the enrollment fee will be due (the remainder of the fees will be due at the time of arrival).
  • Payments to the school must be made using a United States bank account or bank credit card that is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Disclaimer: A minimum 3% administrative fee may be assessed for credit card transactions.

Requirement for International Applicants Applying for a Student Visa (F-1)

International students must fulfill all the requirements listed below for all applications and the program for which they are applying. In addition, they must all submit the following:

Student Visa (F-1) Requirements

  • Translated, officially certified and notarized forms required from students seeking enrollment at Incarnate Word Academy's High School Level. All international transcripts must be evaluated by an approved credential evaluating service showing detailed information of all course-by-course content and a lower/upper division breakdown, if applicable
  • Report Cards for the previous three years
  • A confirmation of Financial Resources statement must be submitted which displays who will be the financially responsible person for the student. The statement must also provide financial data which covers the tuition amount plus an additional amount totaling two times the tuition amount (tuition x 2)
  • Notarized and translated official Birth Certificate
  • Notarized and translated official Immunization Records verifying State of Texas compliance
  • Students must be highly proficient, fluent, and able to comprehend and communicate in English with ease
  • Students will be required to participate in a telephone and or Skype interview with the High School Level Principal and Assistant Principal
  • Student must reside with a biological family member or acquire a host family to live with during the program of study period. The school does not assist in placing or recommending students with host families
  • Student must provide Proof of Health Insurance Coverage in the USA
  • Student must provide a copy of the Passport and Visa
  • A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 197 on the computer test or 71 on the Internet Test (iBT) is preferred. Scores must be dated no earlier than June 2016. Students who do not have the preferred TOEFL score or never took the test can submit IELTS results in lieu of TOEFL. Other English language tests may also be accepted to help assess the applicant’s English language skills. Under special circumstances, students who have already been accepted into the program may be required to study at a lower grade level or take assessment exams in order to receive course credit
  • Interested student applicants must also submit a personal statement indicating why they would like to attend this school
  • Students must arrive in the States within three days of the first day of the school year.
  • A Letter of Recommendation from a current teacher or administrator
  • Payments to the school must be issued using a United States bank which is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
    • Application Fee is due/payable upon completion of the online application process
    • Enrollment Fee is due/payable upon completion of the online enrollment process
    • Tuition, Activity Fee, Athletics Fee, and other applicable fees are due and payable upon arrival to the school

International students must maintain current and accurate demographic information with the SEVIS Coordinator for this campus.

Application for an F-1 Visa is not a guarantee that one will be issued. Once an I-20 has been issued, the family must pay the I-901 Fee by the Department of Homeland Security Study in the States website.
