In our first Teacher Spotlight, we will get to know Middle Level teacher Ann Morris. A 30 year teaching veteran, Mrs. Morris teaches 6th and 7th grade History and English. She spends countless hours in her classroom creating the perfect learning environment, designs projects for students that are personal and transformative, and calls working at Incarnate Word "heaven on earth."
In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Morris is the Altruismo House Lead Teacher and the Middle Level PSIA Coordinator. If her teaching dream came true, she would take her students on a field trip to Grand Tetons National Park outside of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. "There is a beautiful little chapel where you can peer through a large plate glass window as you rest on the log pews overlooking the Grand Tetons below. It was a moment in time that stood still. God's majestic glory right in front of me."
Mrs. Morris' favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." She goes on to say, "God gives us the wisdom to forge ahead and to go where He sends us. He gives us the strength to accomplish our goals, if they are in tune with His will for our lives. We need to listen and then follow our hearts."
Thank you Mrs. Morris for the love and dedication that you show our students. We cannot wait to see what your classes accomplish this school year!
