CCISD hosted the annual Class Meet this past weekend. Swimmers compete based on their class grade. Girls swam their races on Friday, the boys competed on Saturday.
- Freshman girls - took the Runner up spot, bringing home a team trophy. (4 girls)
- Sophomore girls - finished in 5th place. (5 girls)
- Junior girls - we have no junior girls
- Senior girls - 8th place (1 girl)
Patience Orms, 9th grade, set 2 new school records. She took down the oldest record on the books, the 500 free, which dated back to 2004. She also broke the 100 back record and tied the 100 breast record, and was our only swimmer to take a 1st place finish.
Bella Chimbunde swam her 1st 500 free and had a good time in the 100 breast.
Chloe Rosales had 2 terrific swims - the 100 back and the 100 breast.
Janah Siguneza had some great swims. Her 50 free time was right near her best. Her 100 back looked fabulous.
Grace Leeson, just back from CC State, crushed her 200 IM time by 6.26 seconds and 5.36 seconds from her 100 breast.
Isabela Maher swam the most distance of anyone on the team. She was close to her best in the 200 free, 200 IM, and 500 free. It was her 1st time to swim the 100 back and she had a great swim.
Victoria Molina, another CC runner, swam the 200 IM for the 1st time and had solid swims on her races.
Morgan Schacht had a great 100 back. Her other races were solid swims.
Venice Vicknair, another CC runner, was right on her best 100 breast time.
Kelsi Wood was near her best time on the 50 free & 100 fly.

The boys had some outstanding swims today.
Aidan Orines took 3rd in the 100 fly, dropping over seconds on his race. He had a best time in the 50 free and 100 free.
Luke Afuso swam his 1st meet. He looked good in all his swims.
Jonah Lugo, just back from the TAPPS State CC meet had 4 solid swims. He took 2nd in the 100 fly, 4th in the 200 & 500 frees, and 7th in the 50 free.
Isaiah Chimbunde dropped over 3 seconds in the 200 IM. Best of all, he broke the 1 minute mark in the 100 free.
Rishi Ramachandruni had some great swims in the 100 back and 100 breast.
Isaiah Aguilar crushed his 50 free time by 2.40 seconds.
Connor Hein was right near his best on the 50 and 100 free.
Drake Leeson, another CC runner, dropped 1.99 seconds off his 100 back.
Sebastian Mondragon dropped 2.83 seconds in his 100 free and slashed 1.80 seconds off his 100 back.
Patrick Shea started the day shaving 6.96 seconds off his 200 free. He was right on his best time in the 50 free and 100 free.
Gavin Vicknair was close to his 50 and 100 free times.
