Day 2 - Finals

Our Angel swimmers had a great start to their Thanksgiving Holiday break. Competing in the CCISD Gobbler Games, The girl's team took 4th place just 3 points out of a trophy and the boy's team took 5th place.

Several school records fell and Patience Orms was a double Gold Medal winner in her individual events – 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free. She led the girls 200 Free Relay to a 4th place touch and a new school record. With her lead off swim, Patience also set the school record in the 50 Free. Anchoring the 400 Free Relay, the girls broke that school record too.

Just about every swim was a best time or close to their best. The hard work the swimmers have been putting into training is really starting to show during our competitions.

Best accomplishment was that every member on the team qualified for the finals on the second day. Many swam in the A heat, making top 8.

Individual results show the improvement for our swimmers.

Luke Afuso – dropped 1.60 seconds in his 50 free and bettered his time in the 100 breaststroke by 6.63 seconds. Luke's 200 Free Relay made the B final and his 200 Medley Relay ended up 1st alternate.
